Vancouver Centre deserves an MP who shows up for 2SLGBTQ communities every day of the year.
If I thought my campaign would help elect Pierre Poilievre, I’d drop out today. But Conservatives haven’t won here in Vancouver Centre since the Cold War.
Mark Carney is cruising to victory. That means it’s safe. And powerful. To vote NDP in this riding.
And here’s what that vote gets you: an MP who fights for people, not power. A Parliamentarian with courage and conviction. Not just a career.
It was NDP MPs who introduced the very first bills to ban conversion therapy and to protect gender identity in the Canadian Human Rights Act. It’s been NDP MPs pushing for more support for 2SLGBTQIA+ refugees. For permanent funding for queer and trans civil society groups. For access to gender-affirming health care across the country.
Long before it was popular, New Democrats stood up for queer and trans people. Because it was right.
Today, that kind of political courage matters more than ever. Everywhere, trans kids are under attack. Hate is on the rise. And Trump’s policies are already spilling over the border.
When that happens, you need MPs who don’t flinch.
You need MPs who speak up. Who stand with the community. And who fight for real protections, not just platitudes.
That’s what I’m offering. Not a cabinet post. Not a farewell tour.
Just energy. Urgency. And a deep commitment to represent my neighbours in this riding with everything I’ve got.
If you want a backbencher who’ll keep quiet, you already have one.
If you want someone who’ll fight for public health care, renters, and human rights, I’m asking for your vote.
Let’s send someone to Parliament who will fight for us. Let’s make history again.
