Power to the Posties (December 3)

This event has already taken place.

Join Avi Lewis and the Vancouver Centre NDP in Solidarity with Postal Workers

The Vancouver Centre NDP stands in solidarity with the 55,000 postal workers of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) as they strike for fair compensation, dignified retirement, safer workplaces, and a vision for Canada Post that transforms it into a hub for climate and community care.

Join Avi Lewis and the Vancouver Centre NDP at the info picket on Tuesday, December 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at 495 W Georgia Street in Vancouver.

Postal workers are not just fighting for their rights—they’re lighting the way toward bold, practical climate action. Their vision, Delivering Community Power, transforms Canada Post into a solar-powered, electrified delivery network that also provides community banking, high-speed internet, and essential services in remote and underserved areas.

This is the kind of forward-thinking leadership we need now. While politicians in Ottawa spin their wheels, postal workers are rolling out real solutions that tackle inequality and climate change head-on.

Let’s come together to support this bold vision and the rights and dignity of workers.

Bring your signs, your energy, and your commitment to justice. Together, we’ll send a strong message: workers deserve dignity, and our public services can be a driving force for a future based in care and repair. See you there!
