ELECTION CALLED 🗳️ If this feels bigger than politics—you’re right

On Sunday, the election was officially called—and we have until April 28th to decide what kind of country we want to be. If this election feels different—heavier, more urgent—it’s because it is.

Trump’s open threat to annex Canada has shaken people. And while it may seem laughable at first, it cuts to the core of something real: a widespread sense that everything is up for grabs.

This is not a normal election. It’s not politics as usual. And it’s definitely not a moment for small ideas or partisan spin.

It’s a moment to ask: what kind of country do we want to live in?

For me, the answer starts with this: our sovereignty isn’t just a line on a map—it’s the promise that we take care of each other. That we stand for public healthcare, climate responsibility, Indigenous rights, and economic dignity for all.

That’s what makes this place special. And it’s what we must defend—together.

As human rights advocate Emily Nichola put it this week: "Anyone behaving like this is a normal horserace, will be rejected as out of touch." I couldn’t agree more.

In Vancouver Centre, we’ve already knocked on thousands of doors. We’ve spoken with people building their careers, renters, newcomers, and longtime residents. They’re ready for courage. For leadership rooted in care and clarity. For something more human.

That’s why I’m running. Not to play the game—but to fight for what’s right. For affordable housing, for public healthcare, and for a livable future.

But I can’t do this without you.

If you believe this moment demands more than the status quo—will you chip in today?
