Office Opening Party
Whether you're already part of Team Avi or just curious about what we're working toward, this is your invitation to come by, say hello, and learn more.
We’re opening the doors to our new campaign office at 1250 Hornby, to anyone who wants to see what Avi's campaign is all about. Meet the team, hear from Avi and special guests, and find your place in this people-powered movement. Everyone is welcome—no pressure, no political science degree required, no ticket price. Just bring your questions, your hopes, and hopefully a friend or two!
Light refreshments will be provided.
Accessibility and Getting to Avi's Campaign Office at 1250 Hornby Street...
Our campaign office at 1250 Hornby Street is wheelchair accessible. There are multiple curb cuts nearby, and HandyDART vehicles can deploy a ramp directly to the sidewalk when space permits. The entrance features only a minimal lip that should not impede wheelchair users. Inside, the washroom includes a handbar and offers sufficient space and clearance for most mobility devices.
By Transit
The office is highly accessible by public transit:
- Bus: The #6 Davie bus stops one block north on Davie Street. The #2 and #44 buses run two blocks west on Burrard Street, connecting to downtown, UBC, and the West Side. Several other routes serve Granville Street, three blocks east.
- SkyTrain: The Yaletown–Roundhouse Station (Canada Line) is about a 6-minute walk (500m), with direct service to Downtown, Broadway, Richmond, and YVR. Burrard Station (Expo Line) is also within walking distance or a short bus ride.
By Bike
Hornby Street has a fully separated, protected bike lane directly in front of the office. Cyclists are welcome and encouraged—we have indoor space available for secure bike storage during the event.
By Car
Street parking is limited and metered. There are several passenger loading zones along Hornby Street, suitable for quick drop-offs or HandyDART access. Public parkades are nearby. Weekend availability is generally better, but we recommend taking transit, walking, or biking if possible.
Additional Notes
- N95 masks will be available for anyone who wants one, but masks are not required.
- There is ongoing construction and demolition activity in the area. These are expected to be paused or minimal on Sunday.
